7 Ways To Power Up Your Spiritual Practice

If it’s true that we’re creating the world we live in with our thoughts and everything is made out of energy, what does it mean when the goal you’re diligently working to materialize doesn’t show up in your life?

Is your spiritual practice not working? Are you doing to much woo woo and not enough actual work on your goals?

If you’re feeling like your spiritual practices are not moving your life forward, perhaps it’s time to reconnect with your WHY.

Here are a few good WHY questions to help you explore this idea in your journal.

  • Why am I on a spiritual path and what is my expectation from this journey?

  • What does being a spiritual person mean to me?

  • What does having a spiritual practice mean to me?

I think a spiritual practice is an important way to connect and be in flow with the universal energy that inhabits every living thing on this planet. A spiritual practice is a daily reminder for us to take a moment to be still and feel what it means to be alive through this vessel that is our bodies.

The fact that our heart beats, blood rushes through our veins, we can hear the birds tweet and the tea pot whistle … well, it’s all a miracle.

But when our goal is primarily to accumulate more stuff, the gift of life just doesn’t feel like enough of a payoff for our continual practice so we fall off.

As a result, when our dreams don’t “manifest” on our timetable, we sometimes think the universe is punishing us, curbing our growth and stunting our souls journey.

Often, we believe we’re in a spiritual desert, when really we’re germinating the seeds of our new reality.

So if you believe your spiritual growth is getting stagnant, consider these 7 tips to help reinvigorate your practice.

  1. Get still to discover your next step by listening to your inner voice.

  2. Ask in meditation or prayer for a spiritual download to elevate your thinking around the problem you are trying to solve. We cannot solve a problem at the level of understanding that we’re operating at now. Our current mindset created the issue.

  3. Think about an area in your life where you are resisting change and ask for guidance on what you need to release. Be obedient to the answer.

  4. Pray for a deeper understanding of your purpose and ask that it be revealed. Create action steps.

  5. It’s not enough to follow the light or look toward the light, you must seek it in every moment of your life, even when we benefit from our darker impulses.

  6. Maybe what is supposed to happen for you is still being developed and will happen in the future for which you are now being prepared. Practice patience.

  7. Pay attention to your intuition and trust your inner knowing. Notice the feeling that comes over your heart when you’re doing something your love, it may be the path to your new direction.

Finally, be open to new information coming from an unexpected source. An answer may be revealed through a book, magazine, pastor, thought leader, child, nature, or even an unlikely person on the internet. God will use anybody and anything to deliver the information you need to know so try to remain spiritually and emotionally available regardless of how the message is packaged.
