Begin Your Healing Journey With Rest

A great way to begin your healing is to get some rest. It’s hard to make great choices when you’re tired and burnt out. We need a sound and clear mind to function in this world because we are facing unprecedented challenges on a daily basis. . How are you resting today? 

The Wide Angle Seated Forward bend is one of my favorite yoga poses.

It’s a deep hip opener and by using a bolster we can fully relax into the pose while staying lengthened.

- Start in a seated position with your legs extended out in front. 

- Widen your legs out to the side as far as is comfortable. 

- Flex your feet and point the toes up toward the ceiling.

- Place a bolster lengthwise between your legs, with the short edge up against your groin. Elevate the other end of the bolster with a yoga block.

- Inhale and thoroughly lengthen the spine. Remember not to hunch your back as you fold your torso over the bolster.
